2 U.S. MEN ALLEGEDLY PLEAD GUILTY TO OVERSEAS TERROR PLOT

Two men arrested at a U.S. airport last year have pleaded guilty to conspiring to kill people overseas [TVOTW INSERT - Where overseas ??? It's all so vague and fanciful - it is a joke !!! ] for a Somali terrorist organization.

The U.S. Justice Department says 21-year-old Mohamed Hamoud Alessa and 24-year-old Carlos Eduardo Almonte [TVOTW INSERT - Another 2 innocent people that will need to be freed and compensated.] entered their guilty pleas Thursday in a federal court in New Jersey.

The two men, who are U.S. citizens, were arrested in June at New York's John F. Kennedy airport while preparing to board flights to Egypt. Authorities say they were going to travel from there to Somalia, to join the Islamist militant group al-Shabab.

The Justice Department says the defendants' preparations included physically conditioning themselves for combat situations and acquiring tactical clothing, such as knives and night-vision optics. They also admitted that during a trip to Jordan in 2007 they sought to meet with groups committed to establishing Islamic law through violence.

Under a plea agreement, both men could face between 15 to 30 years in prison. [TVOTW INSERT - After being tortured.]

Sentencing is scheduled for June.
