When the
wrong example is set from the top down - when there are no role models
to set a certain standard of conduct and behavior - the incentives for
self respect and a concern to care for - and help others - is lost to
be replaced with depression - anger - and the feeling of a life - meaningless
and lacking in purpose. The tragic downside to the human condition - incongruous*
- maladjusted*
and at odds with his or her environment and their relationship to others
and the world as a whole.
We know
that we have more than 5 billion people standing beside us when we say
- 'to those of our dearest friends and loved ones in the aircraft and
on the ground of the morning of 11 September 2001 - we stand united as
never before - we covenant with you that your loss and suffering will
not be in vain - you will never be forgotten - your legacy will be the
saving of the world and it's people - now - and forever more'.
